The Magic Wigwam

This is a painting based on the story of the Magic Wigwam as told by Fred Tomah. 

Truckers Prayer Acrylic Painting to Benefit Max Hogan

I recently painted this 34x41 acrylic painting to raffle off to benefit a truck driver who is being treated for cancer.  

This guy had drove for me years ago and is a pretty good friend so it wasn't too difficult to come up with ideas for this image.  Of course I would use his truck to connect him, an eagle where he is native.   The landscape I chose was Mt Katahdin, in this area of Maine it is a major landmark and would make a connection with the area.

 I spent about a week pondering worrying and planning until finally the canvas was ready and late one night I decided go for it.  The next morning the painting was complete.

I had the idea of what to add but no real defined plan, once the paint hit the canvas it worked itself out.  

The painting was raffled and was a complete success, the winner chose to give the painting back to Max which I was happy about.

Abandoned House

I have been eying this old house for a while now.  Today I finally made it there with my camera to look things over a bit more.  Would love to get inside but not sure if it would be safe.

Wotton Barn

Spotted this barn a few months ago and finally found the right time to go and do some photos.  Didn't get all I wanted -the blackflies were too hungry and I didn't have my allergy medication.

There's so many interesting images at this location I will have to go up again.

Couldn't get a photo pit pass to this show, which meant I couldn't take my SLR.  Had to made due with my little camera which drove me crazy but did catch some good shots.  Seether was difficult because of their lighting.

Mr Houlton Pageant Houlton High School 2014

I was given the opportunity to cover the Mr. Houlton Pageant this year.  Just for fun I had the contestants pose for portraits, here are some of my favorites.  Again great job guys!  Looking forward to next year.

Upcoming Events ---So Excited

I have been asked to cover the Senior Prom at Houlton High School and will again this year (4th time) be face painting at Houlton Elementary's Spring Fling on June 6th.

Mr. Houlton Pageant HHS Class of 2014

If you decided not to go to Mr. Houlton this year you really missed a great time.  The boys did an awesome job, everyone had a fun time.

Maliseet Youth Christmas Party -Photos With Santa

What a fun time at Rollerama!  The Maliseet Youth had Santa come and give out presents to all the kids that attended the party.  The looks on these kids faces are just priceless, some were scared, some were right in awe, and others-well they were just too cool for the big guy.
